As part of France 2030's "Strategic Investment Financing" initiative, a dedicated action focuses on funding fundamental research (TRL 1 to 4): the Priority Research Programs and Equipment (PEPR).
In this context, IFP Energies nouvelles and Gustave Eiffel University have been tasked with leading the PEPR "Digitalization and Decarbonization of Mobility".
Program Objectives
The program aims to mobilize the national research community and transportation ecosystem stakeholders to:
- Understand mobility of goods and peopleand anticipate the mobility of goods and people
- Help collect, structure, and interpret mobility data
- Provide decision-making tools to simulate the impact of public policies and evaluate the relevance of new transport solutions
Program Resources
- Three initial targeted projects focusing on: understanding usage patterns, mobility data processing, and impact assessment methodologies
- Two calls for projects to unite the community and establish academic-operator-local authority consortiums
- Doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships to renew and develop the research and innovation community
- Dedicated program management to share results and accelerate their implementation
Targeted Projects
The three targeted projects (FORBAC, MiDMoB, and Mob Sci-Dat Factory) address complementary objectives regarding:
- Mobility data
- Mobility needs and determinants in mobility choices
- Tools for forecasting, evaluating, and informing decisions about services, infrastructure, incentives, and regulations
